For tougher tasks, flip on Extended thinking and Pip will spend more compute to reason harder. Same Auto mode, deeper thought.

If you'd rather pick a model yourself, Pip Pro unlocks the model picker — Opus 4.7, GPT-5.5, Gemini Pro, and every other top model are yours to call directly. But honestly? Many power users still stay on Auto.

A few things worth knowing.
Is there a free trial of the paid plans?
The Free plan is generous enough to give Pip a real try. If you upgrade and change your mind, cancel anytime — no questions, no friction.
Can I teach Pip how I want things done?
Yes — through agent skills. You add a skill with a name, a short description, and instructions for how you want something handled, and Pip applies it whenever it's relevant to what you're asking. Pip already knows how to do most things; a skill teaches Pip how you want it done.
Examples: a "tone of voice" skill that tells Pip how you write emails. A "tax categories" skill that defines how you classify receipts. A "homework helper" skill that shapes how Pip answers your kids' questions. Agent skills are included with Pip and Pip Pro.
What's a "premium message"?
Can I switch plans anytime?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at your next billing cycle, so you keep what you paid for.
What happens if I hit a limit?
Pip tells you. You can wait for the next cycle, upgrade, or keep going in Auto mode — those sends don't count toward your premium-message budget.
What happens to my data if I downgrade or cancel?
Nothing gets deleted unless you ask. Downgrade and everything stays — files, memories, projects, conversations. Cancel and you simply drop back to the Free tier; same rule applies. If you're above the new tier's storage cap, you'll need to free up space before uploading new files, but everything you've already put into Pip stays accessible.
And anytime you want, you can export everything you've built up in Pip — files, memories, conversations — with one click. No lock-in is how Pip is designed.
Is my data private?

Why no family plan yet?
We're building it properly — age-appropriate spaces, parental controls, per-member memory. We'd rather ship it right than ship it fast. Once it's ready, current Pip subscribers get first access.

Pip is built by Different Robot, an independent agentic-AI studio in Stockholm. Bootstrapped — no VCs, no ads, no data brokers. Just us, building the assistant we'd want for our families, our friends, and the people we love. The one big tech will struggle to deliver.
